A Guide to Florida Holidays

Florida is one of the most popular North American destinations for Brits abroad.  This is because of the high temperatures, it's proximety on the America East Coast and the extensive amount of visitor attractions.  Although most commonly associated with family vacations, Florida has a plethora of activities that are suitable for adults.  Below we have outlined some of the major locations that you can take a Florida Holiday.

Gulf Coast

One of the most popular areas for those seeking a Florida Holiday, the Gulf Coast offers sizzling temperatures that peak to over 34 degrees centrigrade as well as miles of glorious white sandy beaches.  Some of the popular areas include Tampa Bay, Treasure Island, St.Petersburgh and Naples

Orlando

The state capital and epicentre of Florida Holiday attractions.  Located inland, Orlando is home to some of the most famous attractions in the US including Walt Disney World, Seaworld, Universal Studios and the Magic Kingdom.  No trip to Florida would be complete without a trip to at least one of these iconic attractions. Even if you're not planning staying in Orlando for the duration of your trip, consider a taking Florida twin centre holiday, staying in one of the many popular hotels in Orlando for a night or two while you enjoy all the area has to offer, before continuing your moving on to see more of Florida.

East Coast

Much like the Golf Coast, the East Coast has plenty of white sandy beaches to enjoy.  Some of the major attractions include Cape Kennedy, Miami and Daytona Beaches.  Miami beach is famous for hosting a number of events including the Winter Music Dance festival.  Daytona beach stretches over 17 miles and hosts the world famous Daytona 500 race in February of each year.

Florida Keys

The Florida keys are famed for fishing with the opportunity to hire a boat for the day and fish for giant Marlin! Aside from fishing the area is also popular with scuba divers.  The most common method of arriving at the Keys is to book a Fly Drive package deal and drive down from either Orlando, Miami or Daytona.
