A trip to England opens up a world of opportunities and whilst being a relatively small country compared to some, you will still have a large choice of places to visit. The Peak District is an absolute dream for keen outdoor types and there is plenty to do to stretch your experiences as well as your pocket. From bird watching to mountain biking and climbing to caving there’s a lot to see and do, but for that ultimate experience , weather permitting you may even want to indulge in balloon trip or even a helicopter ride around the peaks.

The area is also home to a number of historic buildings you can visit whilst your out and about most of which are National heritage properties.
Cannon Hall museum and gardens are well worth a visit if you like to see the history of the country. The hall is a country house museum and was the home of the Spencer family. Exhibits in the museum include fine art, furniture and collections of glassware, and if you have an interest in anything of a military nature you’ll also be pleased to find a couple of regimental museums housed here as well.
If you like the hustle and bustle of city life, visit Sheffield, one of the largest cities in England. You could consider Sheffield as the London of the north as it has the largest theatre complex outside London, and is home to the world renowned Crucible and Lyceum theatres.
