Torquay has long been a popular tourist resort, whether it's for a weekend stay or a longer break. Certainly this is one part of the UK where throughout the year the chances of having some wonderful weather are very high. It is for this reason that there is plenty of good quality accommodation available in Torquay to suit all budgets in this wonderful seaside resort.

1. The Glenross – Although it has only 11 rooms available for guests to stay in this hotel is well furnished and all have en-suite facilities. The hotel is situated in a central location so all that the town of Torquay has to offer to its visitors is within easy reach. On top of this, the hotel is renowned for its home cooked food. Outside, there is a patio for you to relax on after a hard day enjoying yourself.

2. Astor House Apartments – Originally the building in which these luxury self catering apartments were housed was a Victorian villa the flexibility of this type of accommodation is especially good for stays of a week or longer. The apartments are close to the town center, the beach and the bustling marina. You will also be treated to sea views from the apartments.

3. Brampton Court – If you are looking for tranquil location where to have a relaxing break then this is a hotel worth considering. Situated in one of the town's many tree lined streets and on a hill top with spectacular views across the town's bay. But although away from the hustle and bustle of the sea front within a few minutes you can be in the middle of it all as the town centre and the Riviera are just a short walk away.

4. The Rainbow – This is much more than just a hotel. This resort not only has two indoor pools but a sauna and a spa pool as well. Plus a fully equipped gym as well. For those who really want a chance to relax and unwind then they can spend time in the resorts health and beauty spa if they wish. During the summer, you can take a swim in one of the hotel's two outdoor swimming pools or soak up the rays on the sun terrace.

5. Corbyn Head Hotel – This one is located right on the seafront and the 45 rooms within it have all been tastefully decorated and the hotel is one where no smoking is allowed. Most of the rooms not only come with views of the sea but offer a private balcony as well. The Bay View Cocktail Bar offers views over the town's bay as well as a great range of cocktails to help you unwind. As with the Rainbow, there is a sun terrace and an outdoor swimming pool.
