Finding a Cheap Hotel Deal in Matlock

Matlock is located in Derbyshire, at the south east edge of the Peak District. It makes an ideal place to stay for either a two week holiday or a long weekend at any time of the year.

Darwin Forest Country Park which is situated in the Derbyshire Dales between Matlock and Bakewell. Covering forty four acres all told, the park is a place you can spend time relaxing as you laze in its gardens. Plus there is also a gymnasium, an indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam rooms for you to use and enjoy. However, whilst your wife is being pampered with one of the many beauty therapy treatments you can enjoy the games room, tennis courts or play a round of mini golf. 

The Country Park also has lots to keep children occupied. There are the adventure playgrounds plus there are all those acres of woodland to play in. The park offers a number of self catering lodges which are designed to cope with all weathers and so they are good for summer or winter holidays. 

The next place to consider staying is the Old Sunday School because it used to be used as a Methodist Sunday school and has recently been restored.  Due to its nature, there aren't many rooms but both the twin and double guest bedrooms have been well furnished and come with en-suite facilities. Another advantage of this location is that it is almost in the centre of Matlock itself so is close to the pubs and restaurants.

Another country house you could look at is Robertswood Country House which is less than a mile from the town centre. Which means it's only a leisurely fifteen minute walk from the town centre.  It can be found on the Farley hill side amidst some wonderful woodland making it a perfect place for you to relax and unwind, taking in the local scenery.  If you're lucky enough to get a south facing room then you can look out over the Peak District National Park and the Derwent valley.
