Cambridge Hotels

Cambridge is home to the famous University and is also the county town of Cambridgeshire. It is just fifty miles outside London and has regular train services to the capital. However, it is also the ideal base for those who wish to spend a weekend either exploring the town itself or its surrounding areas.

When it comes to staying in Cambridge there is plenty of accommodation to select from and all at rates which will suit any particular budget. Here we will take a look at just a few of the places to stay in Cambridge.

The Royal Cambridge – This is the oldest hotel in Cambridge and used to be part of Addenbrooke's Hospital. It is situated just at the edge of the city centre so if allows you easy access to all the famous colleges in this university town including Kings, Queens, Magdalene and Corpus Christi.

De Vere University Arms – This hotel looks out over Parker's Place and is located in the centre of this historic city. This hotel is just a short walk from all Cambridge's famous colleges and also the Bridge of Sighs. From here you can rent a punt on the river Cam and experience views of the city from the river. All rooms are well furnished and come with air conditioning and you have high speed internet access if required. 

Menzies Hotel – This is located just 5 miles from Cambridge and offers a wide range of facilities to really give you a relaxing break. The 136 rooms have all been furnished in a contemporary style and have en-suite bathrooms. Plus during your stay you have the opportunity to use their leisure club, tennis courts and of course the 18 hole championship golf course if you wish. 

The Centennial Hotel – This hotel is situated opposite the botanical gardens and is less than 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Or you can take one of the regular buses instead. The rooms are elegantly furnished to a high level of comfort.
